Erstwilder is a Melbourne-based Australian company that designs cute, limited edition brooches, jewellery, and scarves. Established by a local artist in 2011, the company now has a team of local designers and other staff, as well as fan communities and buy-swap-sells across Facebook. The Erstwilder label draws inspiration from all things vintage, rockabilly, pinup, retro and art deco; with a focus on (cute!) animals. All ‘Erstildlings’ arrive with a unique name and short story as a homage to history, myth, pop-culture and classic storytelling.
I discovered Erstwilder as they re-released their Peter Rabbit range – lucky because their products have a tendency to sell out quickly!
I ordered Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, and Jemima Puddle-Duck brooches, as well as a set of three scarves. My Erstwilder order arrived in a delicately and lovingly wrapped package. And they threw in a free sticker that now looks great on my laptop!
The brooches are as lovely as they were in the pictures. (Cheeky – the cockatiel- quality testing my Benjamin Bunny).
Cheeky and I decidedly love Erstwilder for their cute designs, product quality, swift arrival, and the love they put into their product. We rate them a 5/5!
